Snip...we remember when OS would crash 3 times in a DAY back in XP/Vista era. Even Windows 7 crashed more frequently than 3 times in 90 days.
I doubt there is a modern OS in the world that would only crash 3 times in 90 days. I get crashes more frequently than on the much simpler Android OS!
Some people do seem to have bad luck, and just don't know how to get their computer stable. However, I have anecdotal proof that you're wrong. Exhibit one, my current MacPro (not MacBook,) a full sized tower from the old days:
    Code:
    ~ $ uptime
    13:49 up 384 days, 9:44, 2 users, load averages: 1.37 1.23 1.16
Next, the Linux box we use to monitor our various cloud servers:
    Code:
    $ uptime
    20:56:12 up 447 days, 13:04, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
In fact, I haven't had a blue screen or crash on my Windows 10 machines (laptop and desktop) in the last year. Including Windows XP I haven't seen more than 6 blue screen crashes altogether over the past 16 years. Those are gaming and work systems that see heavy use every day. They get rebooted when Microsoft requires a reboot for an Update/Patch.
If I see an OS crash it brings on a lengthy root cause analysis by me, as it is just something that should not happen.

This is so funny - For us "older" users, we remember when OS would crash 3 times in a DAY back in XP/Vista era. Even Windows 7 crashed more frequently than 3 times in 90 days.
You must have had (or still have) appalling luck with hardware then.

I can't remember any of my PCs crashing that often (W98SE, XP, W7 & even W10).

However PCs used by multiple people (e.g. at job centres or training organisations) did tend to crash when it was most inconvenient.

    Note:
Currently my W7 occasionally BSODs due to some Nielsen software I installed at the end of last year.
Since I'm getting paid $20/month to run it, 1 or 2 BSODs/month is an acceptable (if annoying) price to pay.

I have to say (probably get flamed here) that W10 is IMO the most stable and reliable Windows yet --
Why would you get flamed here?
This forum is full of Nadella acolytes.

If you want to get flamed, post that on SevenForums.

W10 isn't too bad, as long as Windows Update, or even worse, Windows Upgrade aren't running.

My W10 problems happen when I turn the network on and let it try to Update/Upgrade.
Currently both my W10 installs (Home, Pro VM) are stuck in infinite "Upgrade to 1709" loops.
