    Monitor lost color

    I have Acer flat screen monitor which has been work very well for a couple years. After cleaning the desktop and keyboard the monitor still works except there is no color.

    Any ideas

    You hit a keystroke combination while cleaning. Hit Ctrl-Winkey-C and your color will come back!

    Hello Howdog, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

    It sounds like you may have turned on Color Filters by mistake pressing the Win+Ctrl+C keys while cleaning. The default color filter is "Greyscale" for what you're seeing.

    Pressing those keys again will turn it off.

    That happened to me last month.
    Someone suggested adding this to my Autohotkey script to completely disable control-win-c ...
    Code:
    ; DEFEAT THE CTRL-WIN-C SHORTCUT THAT CHANGES THE SCREEN TO MONOCHROME
    #^c::
    return

    Lucikily, Windows 10 build 17083 and later will include a setting to enable or disable the keyboard shortcut for Color Filters.
