I do not have 'media', this was upgraded from Win8.
I hold shift when restarting to get to the command prompt, or boot from USB with Kyhi's Boot Disk (see above).
    I added (after you posted):
    I do have:

    C:\ESD\Windows\Sources\Install.ESD

    could I use that?

also: I don't know if this is important, but the OS version is 10.0.15063.0

Where is that Install.esd file came from if you want you can but that Install.esd image file looks out of place.

You can always use Windows 10 Media Creation Tool to create a Windows 10 Installation Media (DVD/USB).

Looks like you are using Windows 10 Creators Update if you are then you will need to use install.wim or install.esd file for Windows 10 Creators Update version.

Convert an ESD File to a WIM File for Driver Updates in Your Windows...

You can create a .WIM from a .ESD file...

10.0.15063.0 is the Creator's build. The current build is 6 months + a few on from that.
That build number also means no updates have been applied.

Did you disable updates at any point?

If needed, it's possible to get an iso for the creator's build 15063, but not using the media creation tool.

    Hi @dalchina

Op can also use install.esd image file with Dism command no need for conversion.

    I ran
    Code:
    dism /get-wiminfo /wimfile:install.esd
and it shows the version is 10.0.10240.16384, which is a different version from my current os.
So I can't use it as a source, correct? I need the same version install.wim as my current os, yes?

I have not disabled updating, in fact this particular computer seems to update more frequently than the others we have.
It belongs to a 12 year old girl that pretty much just surfs in edge and plays a few game, I don't think there is anything nefarious going on

Ok, so wouldn't the simplest and quickest thing be to save any data and clean install?

I agree with @dalchina, you should backup your personal files and clean install Windows 10.

There is no product key: activation should be automatic.
