Cannot remove a folder

Beware, this thing is dangerous if you don't pay attention, but it should solve your problem. One of the members here gave it to me and it's worked .Copy the text into a .bat file, edit to remove a folder (rd) or file (del)

Recently I had some remote assistance to my computer, after all finished, I found in the program files directory a folder named "CMAK". I am trying to remove it but nothing works, not even in command prompt as admin.
Each time I touch it, in the task manager processes list there is a 'com serogate' opened.

Well, I'd be VERY careful about deleting it. You say you recently had some remote assistance, and this file/folder belongs to :
"The cmak.exe is a Microsoft Connection Manager Administration Kit.

This file is part of Microsoft(R) Connection Manager. Cmak.exe is developed by Microsoft Corporation. It’s a system and hidden file. Cmak.exe is usually located in the %WINDOWS% sub-folder and its usual size is 501,248 bytes."

If you are bound and determined to get rid of it you can try Unlocker :

Download Unlocker - MajorGeeks

Is it causing any trouble or just sitting there? If its benign I'd just leave it myself.

The file size is not as in the answer. Name of file is "CMBINS.exe" and it is located with some other files in a CMAK folder, in the program files tree. I tried the command prompt, the power-shell, and three different programs including the Unlocker - nothing worked, it refuses to be deleted.

Actually everything I've found about this CMAK and CMBINS you refer to say it is part of Microsoft's systems. "The cmbins.exe is a Win32 Cabinet Self-Extractor. " You said something earlier about getting some remote assistance, what was it for if you don't mind me asking? Was the issue resolved? Was your registry involved in any way? I ask because both files/folders you mention pertain to registry/remote assistance. Are you getting errors that mention them? If so, have you been here? Its Microsoft's Fixit for the errors:

Besides the comments above, you can disable this feature from Add / remove programs and features for Windows (in Control panel). Also disable remote assistance (temporary, if you gonna need it again) and you should be able to delete folder in normal way, otherwise it will reappear.

This really does look like the better solution. Safer. If you uncheck it and apply, it will remove the components, and probably the folder. I wouldn't try to force-feed it.
