I have an entry in the registry with no program to go with it; nothing in System Services and Taskmgr shows nothing.

I don't remember installing this; is it safe to delete these entries? And why the "*" key?

It's a game, you probably have uninstalled the game or it's just a leftover registry. It is safe to delete.
