    Computer restarting without warning/blue screen.

    Hello,

I recently upgraded to windows 10 from 7 and today I've started experiencing random computer restarts without any blue screen. I've checked temps and ran malware bytes to make sure it was nothing malicious but both were fine.

    WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124)
A fatal hardware error has occurred. Parameter 1 identifies the type of error
source that reported the error. Parameter 2 holds the address of the
WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure that describes the error conditon.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: 0000000000000000, Machine Check Exception
    Arg2: ffffcc0ee62553e8, Address of the WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure.

If you're updated with current Spectre KB items (KB4056892 for Intel systems, YMMV for AMD CPUs) one known side effect of installing them is spontaneous/random reboots. See my blog post for today's Windows Enterprise Desktop for more information: Intel Now Advises Against Installing Spectre Patches. Many users, particularly those with AMD CPUs, have reported the end of these unwanted reboots after uninstalling those security updates.

I've updated my specs and attached the zip file produced from running the CLI tool.

That's interesting you mention the spectre patches because It was only a couple of days ago that I upgrade to Windows 10, thus I have all of the latest updates as of right now.

Just checked the update history of my machine and I do indeed have KB4056892 installed, though my CPU is an AMD.

Managed to uninstall KB4056892, seems as though it was affecting AMD cpu as well. Will update if the original problem persists.

PC is still running fine after approx 3-4 hours, the initial crash happened after only a few minutes on first boot up today. I spoke to a friend who has also experienced similar crashes recently and lo and behold he too had KB4056892 installed and is running an AMD CPU.
