Tried restarting into Safe Mode and get nothing. Black screen last well over a half hour. I disconnected everything except for the display.
Nothing. Onlly thing working is the power button on the front panel.
Are you able to:
1) perform the full dell diagnostics?
2) perform FurMark stress testing for 1 hour?
3) remove the GPU and use the integrated motherboard graphics?
zbook - I cannot do anything. Black screen does not go away. I was just check for loose connections on back panel and noticed that the fan was not turning. No noise coming from PC and the only thing that seem to work is the power button. It turns and off, that it.
See these links on computer post and report back any findings from running through the check list:
POST troubleshooting steps
What is POST?
Computer POST and beep codes
zbook - from you first link "Tip: Make sure the computer turns on. If nothing happens (no lights, no sound, no fans, etc.), the computer has a power related issue."
This is my current state. Checking if I can get someone who knows more than I do to come and have a look.
zbook - Sort of solved the problem - the PC is going back for replacement.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions.
