How do you turn off the removable media detected warning

How do you turn off the removable media detected warning on shut down or reboot.

I know the media is there, I put it there and in 60 seconds when this reboots I will have to put it back. This irritates me 3 or 4 times a week, and on the occasional day several times a day.
    Thanks Al

What kind of removable media? There's the memory cards from cameras for the card reader, USB Thumb/Flash drives and External USB HDDs. I use all of them and never get that message.

I have never seen that error before either. Is "removeable" the normal British spelling?

How long does the error stay on the screen before Windows reboots? Are you able to open Task Manager while it's on the screen?

    got it figured now

Ok I had Desk Drive Version 2.1.1 (Mike Ward) installed on all my laptops but Desk Drive version 2.1.2 on my tablets. issue solved.
Desk Drive is a utility to auto create desktop shortcuts for removable media. So why has this been driving me crazy for a year? Now to update the other three.

I'd be careful, this page shows no OS newer that WinXP, actually shows only WinXP:
    Desk Drive - Download
And the image shows a Copyright date of 2008.
