Reread my post sloowly and carefully because I didn't said that in any way LOL.

Also you should check PAE and NX in BIOS as you CPU must support

I did try the 32 bit mode and I know it’s got a ram limit. The bios is set correctly. It’s the processor as shown in another thread. I’m presently running 7 & 8 with no difficulty.

a Core 2 should run 10 just fine. ALL core 2 have NX which is the only thing 10 requires
Windows 7 and 8 (.0) don't require PAE and NX. Check the BIOS. NX may have different names.

I will avoid derailing this thread :)

Meh, I think they are used to that, that happens after each new Windows... Since Windows 2.0 xD

Seriously, even OSes now considered "excellent" like XP and 7 suffered intense backlash from some users who, if Windows was developed from them, we would still be using Windows 1.0 or even MS-DOS (I know people who HATE GUIs and LOVE command line, maybe they have legitimate reasons for that, but isn't common)

In some cases they are right (because even when they were released, some bugs that slipped form the beta tests still crawl around, and it's a matter of time when they are fixed) but nothing is perfect.

All products (even apple lol) suffer backlash after an overhaul
Many people do not adapt well to changes. Some just enjoy complaining (a moderator on another forum seems to fit that category lol). And, as a previous poster said, a lot of times the problems are self inflicted.

We call these the vocal minority, people are quick to post with complaints and problems, but we are much much less likely to post just to say everything went well.

If you really want the scale how many forum users have posted complaint threads, then you look at the fact that Windows 10 has already been installed on over 14 million devices worldwide, and that shows the scale of the complaints.

It's one day after the big launch and judging from the new posts/complaints on this forum (and think of how many people don't even know about these forums) - there are a lot of problems. From those few posts I've read, I think many of these problems are self inflicted.

Regardless, there are going to be endless calls, tweets, postings, and articles written on how crappy Windows 10 is. I'm sure a lot of people at Microsoft put a lot of effort into Win10. - I'm feeling sorry for them.

well guys and gals, I am in my 2nd day of windows 10 and as a windows 10 tester, I knew there would be a lot of problems, but look at this this way. its free, It keeps our brain busy trying to figure out the new system and Microsoft in time will hopefully fix a lot of problems in windows 10. and even if they don't, we can still use the internet with the new internet explorer. so relax, everyone. if something don't work right, just don't use it etc etc. I know a few things like apps don't work right, etc etc. actually the only thing concerns me is the windows updates. they may send us new updates, that may mess up the windows 10 that we have before the updates and then we will be back to step one again, but maybe they will check the new updates completely before they send it to us. thanks everyone , talk to you later, Fred

I can't say I am happy with Windows 10 yet, but (knock on wood) so far it seems as stable as Windows 7 Ultimate was. Did have a few issues when first installed, like Windows Update was giving me an error... but a quick Google of the error got it fixed. Aside from that I'm pretty content with it thus far and my only complaints are...

    1. We need OblyTile to work with Windows 10 and too be honest, a program like that should actually come default.
    2. MS needs to fix Aero and have an option to work with borders and title bars. Also an option to change colors to the same areas without having to install a custom theme to do it.
    3. Not sure what the deal is, but on every boot I get a 30 seconds or so black screen before login window... that needs fixing.

one thing I found out today was the apps. most of them was no account for me, side effects was the ads, so what I did was add games like chess, solitaire, spider software and checkers, like in windows 7. the rest had strings attached, wanting money. how did Microsoft get so far out apps which in my opinion was a waste of my time, just to look at the apps, etc. too bad they took the chess titans, checkers etc from us. these apps in windows 10 looks like the apps in windows 8.1. well, guess, Microsoft will be making money on the apps, but they wont make it from me. heehee.

That would be the issue in this case. No support for PAE & NX would also halt a Win 8 install, if I recall correctly.

And, so many of the complaints are so incredibly petty.
