Brink, yes I did.
Brink, the second of the registry keys you show shows the same details as yours. My registry doesn't contain the first registry key you refer to.
In that case, it appears that your Desktop folder didn't get moved to "C:\Desktop".
Did you want your Desktop folder at "C:\Desktop" or the default "C::\Users\royw\Desktop"?
Brink, my Desktop folder is definitely in C:\Desktop. I moved it there and want it to stay there.
Brink, I restarted my PC and the first registry key you showed in post #12 was added to my registry, but the details are shown as %SystemDrive%\Desktop.
That would be correct for the first location.
Go ahead and post a screenshot showing the second registry location to verify and see what we should change.
Brink, the screenshot is attachedd.
Would it be simpler (and more permanent) to disable One Drive?
I hated One Drive. But rather than uninstall it I just disabled it.
In this folder ...
C:\Users\<USER-NAME>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive
I renamed these two files ...
OneDrive.exe
OneDriveStandaloneUpdater.exe
to ...
OneDrive.exe.not
OneDriveStandaloneUpdater.exe.not
Done.
