How to make system font larger

I want to make the system font larger. I have searched everywhere but all the answers seem to be the same with no way to do it.

All the old ways such as menu font size ETC which I can do! The font size in the address bar of any browser I would like to make larger, for example, is too small and at the top of the file explorer where it has this: file - computer - view needs to be larger.

Hello vietvet7071, and welcome to Ten Forums. :)

You might see if this below to change the text size for these items may help. You'll have to play with different sizes until you find one that looks best to you.

I have tried this doesn't do what I described and I keep getting this same suggestion everywhere. I'm thinking that there is no way to do it.

In that case, you might see if changing the default system font to something larger and possibly bolder may look better for you.

"Arial Bold" or "Arial Black" are two popular choices.

I know how to do that but it doesn't say how to change the font size which is the main reason for wanting to change the font!

There's not an option that I'm aware of to specifically change only the font size. Changing the system font as I posted above is a workaround by using a font that is larger and/or bolder than the default. You would have to look at all the fonts in your "C:\Windows\Fonts" folder to see if one may work for this.

Otherwise, you could change to a higher DPI scaling level, but that will make everything appear larger and not just text.

Thanks for the help. I am going to try a different font that may be larger. I like Times New Roman but it is still too small. Have a good day my friend!

You could achieve what you wish but you're going to have to do some customization's first.
The Explorer 'Ribbon' is part of the immersive experience so, you'll have to disable the Ribbon and get the old Windows 7 style 'Command Bar' back.
The utility to do so, "Ribbon Disabler", is available here:

Then, select 'Always show Menus' in Folder Options; then choose a good sturdy bold font and apply @Brink 's reg tweaks.

Have you looked at a utility from winaero called winaerotweaker? System font is but one of many, many on the menu to tweak. I used the utility two years ago, and the tweaked settings have survived updates and upgrades thru win 10 1607. And it is in portable zip form.
