    Suddenly unable to view photographs video "Invalid entry for registry

    Greetings - this is first posting for me - I am no longer able to view photos and videos - error message "Invalid entry for registry" - I note that under regedit and going to Familes, when I expand the Microsoft.Windows.Photos folder there is no entries there.
    Any help would be gratefully received.

    I have One PC at work that does this randomly. I have to reset the app to fix it. Same thing happens with Movies and TV app.

    VRAM, I suggest asking the I.T. Department at work that you are trying to watch movies and T.V. and your system isn't working properly.

    Unfortunately for them, I’m their first line IT and the movies are training videos.

    If you want you can preinstalled apps back, you can get them back with a single line of PowerShell code. Open a PowerShell window as a Administrator. Copy and paste the following line into the PowerShell window and press Enter:

    Code:
    Get-AppxPackage –AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

    This tells Windows to install those default apps again. Give it some time and allow it to finish, even if nothing appears to happen at first. Even if you see an error message, restart and examine your Start menu — you may just have all those default apps back again, anyway.

    Try KaiHenry14's first fix:

    "Go to Start, then Settings, System, Apps & Features and click on "Photos" app. Under Advanced options you'll find the reset button."
