Power Plan Changes Every Boot

It seems to me that there is a problem in Windows 10 with resetting settings. You solved your problem by an extreme fix for one specific setting, but the actual problem is that for some reason, Windows 10 is resetting many personalization settings. It is also customary on threads for posters to post further fixes, and it has often been extremely helpful for other users who are googling the problem to read the later discoveries.

Interesting but how does one reverse the action taken? Does one just click on 'Disabled'?

What was the working solution? I cannot stop my power plan from switching to High Performance.
All my computers have been affected. I am thinking that it is the version 2004 update.

FWIW - I just applied the recommended gpedit fix to force the Power Plan to maintain High Performance across restarts. My Win10 desktop was forcing Balanced. I am on 20H2, 19042.804. I believe, but have not tried, going into gpedit and simply changing the setting to Not Configured will disable the forced High Performance setting. The unexpected result is that none of the detailed settings in High Performance are available for individual editing. You might consider that a downside, I don't.
