Folders Disappeared without Me Deleting Them -- WTF !!?!!

    I’ve had files disappear from the desktop before but I could go to the desktop folder in explorer and they’d be there. Refreshing the desktop had no effect. Weird....

    Try pressing the Windows and "R" keys simultaneously, typing "shell:desktop" into the "Open" box, click "OK" and see if they are still in there.

I opened my Windows 10 Mail on my Laptop and all but one of my Folders (approximately 20) have disappeared. Can these be recovered in any way please, to my knowledge I didn't instigate any action to delete the Folders. I thank you in anticipation.
hi sometimes i get stuck with a error that it cant delete a folder because of too long filename or it says it's in use when infact it isn't is there some nice tool for this?
I have a couple of folders containing files I have not looked at in over a year. When I went to look at them, I cannot find them ?? Does Windows 10 automatically archive older unused files or folders ?? Thanks, rs
Hi again, My c:/users/administrator/appdata/local is chock full of empty subfolders like: {000C498C-FC08-4468-9B95-07B748-F5BE61 How on Earth did they get there and can I safely remove them? Thanx. Edwin
