Oh, forgot about calendar shift. you still have a week.

One thing you should be aware with 10 inch tablet.. It's good enough for reading, interacting, not sure about work, especially compared to 15.6 laptop.
Andre, if I'm not mistaken, he'll use the tablet more for taking notes (or surfing the web on his off time) than for a full work machine. Once he's home, he'll use the Lenovo as his "work" machine.

So, actually, word pad could even work for the note taking.

I've seen bunch of those, and believe me, it takes some hardware to take better notes than with paper... You can get some fancy notebooks and pencils for 200€ Phones are for other things these days (taking pictures, reading pdf etc).

OK, I'm not constructive now, but won't delete this either... sorry :)

Actually, I use a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard for my 'Droid tablet. Much easier to use than that tiny thing they provide that takes squirrel fingers to type. :) Much nicer and easiere to use.

Oh, we should ask BlueBaron what kind of study is he in :) More texting stuff, or equations, diagrams, calculation, programming ...

I think that tablet comes with a Pen and as he stated a detachable keyboard.

Yes correct, it would be used at school for taking notes when needed. Since also all of our books are in an e-format (PDF) and we also get complementary lectures in PDF format it could effectively be used as a light e-reader with the keyboard detached (or attached). For example during the longer breaks, like 1 to 2 hour, it would be a waste to go all the way home which is 30 minutes away, fight my way through our crowded public buses. I could go to the faculty reading room or the cafeteria, and do stuff on the tablet (studying, reading, videos) etc. Also all my notes, books will be with me at all times.

Yes the Vivax also comes with a pen, thats built in the tablet, on the left corner I think? That could allow me to easily take the most important notes during math lectures with OneNote (formulas, equations), and combine it with our e-books and complementary PDFs. So I'll have the most important stuff, in one place (notes, formulas from classes; theorems and definitions from the books combined etc).

All of those. :) I'm in Computer Science and Engineering, first year, so a little from all of those.

PS: Since our semester already ended, I could also wait for another month and see if during that time if one of our IT stores brings in better hybrids. Or wait till the Orthodox Christmas in 1 week and see if I find other discounts and promos. Rushing is the worst thing I could at this moment.
