What security do you have on this system? The ad you show looks like it may not be anything to do with Windows or Microsoft.
A lot of companies on the internet are not averse to loading "extras" onto your system when you download that "Must Have" tool or other program. Many of these will tie into the operating system and feed you ads that you do not need or want
a scan with something like Adaware might find and remove the infection I think you may have
That AD looks like something from Softronic. Most likely something you downloaded from there.
Exactly. I've pretty much quit using Softronic because of the pop ups and misdirection there. Really went downhill imho. Agree with Barman58 about the Adaware. It should help. No offense, but be more careful when at Softronic these days.

Stop using Softronic.

Back when dinosaurs were wearing short pants 'Cnet' was a good place to get downloads and then they went to hell in a hand basket.
I don't know what they are like now for downloads because I haven't used them in years.

Where possible only get software from the manufacturer's site, these days even this can result in issues with unwanted software, so you should check everything

Yes it does, Edwin. Pop-ups of permitted notifications.
@xpac5896, at the upper left of the address bar in your browser, click the information icon and see if you have any specific granted permissions for sites that are causing issues, and turn them off.
Also, in Firefox options (Don't know the equivalent in Chrome/Edge or others), check in the Options/Privacy and Security to see if any domains have blanket permission to push notifications out to you. Adjust as needed.
I agree. I wanted to download IranView but there stupid site kept linking me to Cnet download for the 64-bit version. I then found it on majorgeeks.com.
