Here is a screen shot of AC/DC Back in Black from my master mp3 folder on my laptop in MP3 Tag

Here is the same album from my flash drive

I don't see any difference at all between the two albums, but I have no idea how to really use MP3Tag. Over on the far right of the MP3Tag app it just says track 1/10, 2/10 and so on up to 10/10. But when I search the albums on my car display, it will show 01:01 Back In Black, 02:02 Hells Bells, and so on. If anyone has info on how to fix this, I appreciate the help.

    Thanks

Blue tooth in my car is not very good. The phone works ok and I can stream Pandora and Slacker Radio, can also stream mp3 files from my phone. But there is no control over streaming from the radio itself. If i want to change to the next or previous song or change albums I have to pick up the phone and use its controls instead of the ff/rew buttons on the radio. To me that is a pain and is just as unsafe as texting and driving. I won't do it. The only thing the radio will do is skip songs on Slacker. I will check out the mp3tag app asap. Thanks again.

I use a iClever Himbox HB01 in our van. You get Rew/Play/FFWD/Stop/End Call. It actually works great. I use a cup holder phone holder to have it where I can plug it into a charging cord. Check with Crutchfield. They do sell the Headunis that you slip your phone in to charge and the faceplate covers. Some people are also using the Raspberry Pi for in car media.

The ID3 tags look fine so it's not clear to me why your car suddenly started displaying the titles like that. Do you have another USB drive you can test? Is there a way to reset your infotainment system and force it to re-index your drive?

This was a great idea. I tried a different flash drive that I have every MP3 file I ever created on it, it's a 128 gb that I keep as a backup in case I were to lose my 32gb drive that I use in the car, or in case it gets damaged or corrupted. I have not updated or changed anything on the 128gb drive in a long time, usually what I do is wait until I have 10 or 15 new albums to add, then add them on there all at once. Anyway, I played that 128gb drive in the car a few minutes ago and it is showing double numbers on the songs too. I checked a bunch of different albums that had been added to the drive maybe 2 or 3 years ago, and they all had the problem, regardless of the date they were written to the drive. So the problem is in the car radio, not Windows.

I should have thought of this first, because I use this same laptop to put MP3's on a flash drive for my wife's Nissan and her radio does not have the double numbering problem. I may try to find a reset procedure for my radio or just live with it. I could also just replace the radio and get better Bluetooth functions and better sound too. The problem with most aftermarket radios now is you can not see their displays in bright sunlight. My factory radio display is hard to see in daylight too so there is no perfect solution here. I do appreciate everyone's help on this.

    Thanks,

    Jimmy
