Xbox one controller multiple systems?

Can I use the same Xbox one controller on both the Xbox one and our pc? I'd like to use it across both systems (not at the same time) but is this ultimately going to confuse the controller? I don't fancy having to keep re syncing/pairing the controller to the Xbox one everytime because it's last use was on pc. I can't be bothered with all the wireless on windows so plan to just use a USB cable for pc/steam

You can, but yes, you will have to resync with the Xbox after each time you use it on the PC. I do this whenever my kids are here so we can play games together on the PC, then resync it to the Xbox when one of them wants to play something on there.
