    XBox Streaming quality

Is anyone seeing a drop in quality when streaming Xbox games to windows 10? Even on high quality I get a fuzzy look. Its not horrible but I was hoping it would be a bit better. I'm using a 650ti on my test machine so I wonder if my gaming rig will look better and if I should swap some components to test. I cant find if hardware makes a difference or if its limited to the windows software. I'm hard wired btw.

Depending on your internet speed, Windows and Xbox will decrease the quality in order to increase the framerate. Please tell us what your internet speed is, as that may be the problem.

Internet speed shouldnt have any bearing on quality seeing how its all traveling on a local network and theres no outside connection. But to confirm thats not it, my internet is 60 down and 10 up.

Everything is connected to a gigabit router.

I don't think everything is local, so it may make a difference. But your internet seems okay for performing the task, also your GPU does. I know that the CPU is also involved in the streaming. It would be helpful if you filled the "My specifications" section in your profile. Try updating your drivers. I recommend SlimDrivers as that tool has been very useful for me in the past.

You could also try updating your Xbox as that may be the problem.

My last suggestion is a clean install but that may not be worth the hassle. Good luck and read my signature (especially the first line).

I cant seem to edit my system specs page but my test machine is:
    AMD a6 6400k cpu
    4gb 1600 ram
    120gb ssd OS drive
    GTX 650ti video card

I played some Call of duty earlier and it feels like the game is kind of floating. like your gliding when you run and graphics wise its still got that fuzzy look even on High Quality. I deleted the Nvidia drivers and reinstalled the 2 available for windows 10. 353.30 and 352.84.

My gaming rig that will be used primarily for this is running much higher specs so I'm really hoping its not software related.

Xbox is up to date btw.

Edit: Nvidia 353.50 just installed and same situation.

Is everyone else getting crisp graphics and smooth gameplay? If so I'm sure Ill be fine once I install on my main machine.

I too will be reporting back after I receive the install.

The streaming service has been wonderful to me. However, I feel if I could specifically check which GPU Win10 used, I feel I would have even a better experience. I knew how to set this in 7 an 8, but I cannot seem to find a place to specifically denote my gaming GPU instead of the on-board Intel 4400. So if anyone knows how to do this, I would be incredibly appreciative.

I guess you have to disable the Intel HD Graphics entirely. You can do this by opening the device manager and disabling the Intel(R) HD Graphics under GPU/Graphics card section.

I was afraid of that simply because my 8.1 allows the Intel(R) to do all the skim work whilst the 755 does the heavy intense lifting. So I am fearful disabling it may not translate well. Only one way to tell!
