Can't d/l Minesweeper from Store since 1703 update, error 0x803F8001

Got the update to version 1703 (15063.413) on Friday.

Now, I can't play Minesweeper, even though it was previously installed & working. Trying to download it from MS Store gets me a fail at "Downloading license" with error code 0x803F8001. (All other apps, including Store games like Solitaire, work fine.)

I've tried rebooting, logging in & out from my MS account, the recommended PowerScript command from MS Answers, and DISM.

Anyone else having similar problems? Better yet, anyone solved this one yet?

Are you talking about a new Minesweeper for Win10 or the one from older versions of Windows? Might peruse Winaero - Free small and useful software for Windows for the older unsupported versions that can be used on Win10.

I'm having the same issue. It's been going on for a couple of days for me, I'm not finding an fixes that work.

The new one for Win10. I can install other apps but not that one. It has daily games that the other apps don't have. I miss it.

I've got exactly the same problem, none of the solutions I've found have helped.

I fixed it myself by running the Windows Store Troubleshooter. It reset the Store cache, and my problem was solved.

The troubleshooter didn't work for me (it kept finding corrupt files in the Windows Store and "fixing" them, over and over). In the end I made a new Windows account, and now everything works fine.
