How To Remove Gaming Settings

I followed @Brink's excellent How to Hide or Show Pages from Settings in Windows 10 tutorial... with one difference. I made the changes within HKCU, not HKLM. It was so long ago I cannot remember why.



So, my REG file to do this was:

"SettingsPageVisibility"="hide:gaming-broadcasting;gaming-gamedvr;gaming-gamebar;gaming-gamemode;gaming-xboxnetworking;"

I know this is a little outdated, but for anyone looking for this information now, the solution is below. And for the record, when I did this, I had already disabled the xbox apps that show in the Start menu through Powershell - this is separate from that.

Go into registry.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Right click in the right-hand pane; New; String value. Name it SettingsPageVisibility
Double click the new string value and enter:
Hide:URI;URI;URI Replace URI of course with the actual URIs, separated by semicolons. Perhaps not everybody's will have the same options, so here's mine as an example...

Hide:gaming-gamebar;gaming-gamedvr;gaming-broadcasting;gaming-gamemode;gaming-xboxnetworking

Once you have all the options in your Gaming settings hidden, Gaming itself will disappear.
