Event Error 5973 on Microsoft Solitaire Collection

After I got rid of the System Restore error: (see System Restore fails: AppxStaging %ProgramFiles%\WindowsApp 0x80070091 - Page 26 - Windows 10 Forums), I am now getting another error (see screenshot).

It says:"Activation of app Microsoft.MicrosoftSolitaireCollection_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App failed with error: The application cannot be started. Try reinstalling the application to fix the problem. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information."

I tried to see if Microsoft had a solution & found this "https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3064045/windows-store-apps-may-not-open-and-event-id-5973-is-logged-in-the-application-log", which tells me to create an entire new user account. I am reluctant to do this, as I've really had to tweak Windows 10 (thank you tenforums) a lot.

This site, "https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2798317/win8-app-modern-apps-fail-to-start-if-default-registry-or-file-permissions-modified", although specfically for Windows 8, seems to suggest that it could be caused by changing the permissions or registry. This, of course, was done to fix the System Restore problem.

I found an old thread on tenforums at Microsoft Solitaire Collection closes on launch, reason unknown. Solved - Windows 10 Forums, but that poster's issues got worse & for some reason, he was banned. (I'm new here, so I don't know what happened).

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I'm thinking perhaps changing the permissions back, but I'm not sure how & I don't want to recreate the system restore problem.

I could go to the Microsoft Store & reinstall it, but I'd like to get some sage advice first, before I cause another problem.:)

As a further note. I did a backup & then reinstalled the Microsoft Solitaire Collection. However, had to restart Windows because everything was slow, Classic Start Menu wouldn’t load, & couldn’t choose anything from Macrium Reflect log/event viewer. However, when I click on solitair collection & then close it, the Start Menu wouldn’t work properly & everything has a long delay, such as all menus; in fact, right clicking didn't bring up any menus, so I think it screwed with my Nvidia graphics. Also, Xbox 360 & Xbox One were installed.

If I would logout & then login, my menus, etc. were back to normal, but I don't know why starting the Microsoft Solitaire Collection would do that. I ended up restoring the backup.

Still looking for ideas, if anyone has any.

Today I noticed that I can't launch "Sticky Notes". It seems I did something to the metro apps. Any suggestions as to what I can do? If I update to Windows Creator, will that reinstall the apps?

I could be wrong, but an "upgrade" is a whole new install. The iso is around 3 gigs ! I ran into a similar problem with
BingWeather. Uninstalled the weather app, reinstalled apps and doing a Reflect image now.

Happyness is Windows ?

I fixed my Sticky Notes, but still have a problem with the Solitair collection

I uninstalled the bing? weather app and reinstalled the apps again. It did not show up in the menu. A Windows 10 reinstall did not fix the problem. I have a feeling, for my problem, that MS changed something that one of three puters did not
like. All three puters had to have clean installs up until the Creators upgrade, I let MS do it.
Probably a MS problem which may get fixed ??????
