hello boys, i found how to disable GameBarPresenceWriter.exe (This is a telemetry program that sends statistics of the behavior of the game with the included game bar)

    Step 1:
    Go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsRuntime\ActivatableClassId\Windows.Gaming.GameBar.Pres enceServer.Internal.PresenceWriter"

    Step 2:
    Set owner
"Everyone" or "Administrators" or "Current User", and assign full permissions

    Step 3:
    set "
    ActivationType" to "0"

Hi, can you please explain how to do Step 2?

I am seeing this, I'm not sure how to get past it. I am the only user and owner of the PC.

Turn it on, let it update then disable it inside.

The ****? Your instructions do not work, I got the same exact results as the guy who showed you the screenshot of the error. Your reply makes no sense. If you mean to turn gamebar on in Settings and then disable it there then what was the point of posting this registry edit, and how do we make that work? Not even system account level regedit was able to get past this error.

Okay: I know how to get past the error

    Right-Click > Permissions > Advanced

    The owner will be TrustedInstaller

Hit "change" > Advanced > Find Now > *your username* > Ok > Ok > Apply > Ok

Check mark "Allow" next to "Full Control" for admins

you should now have permissions and be able to edit the entry

Update: I THINK IT WORKS! I haven't seen it appear in Resource Monitor (yet)
