Xbox one in standby
When I turn my Xbox one off it's in instant on mode. I notice that when it is in this mode the router into which it is hard wired changes the light above its port from green (gigabit) to amber (100 Mbps). Is that normal? It's always been like this but was curious.
the other thing I have noticed (possibly since the last update) is when in standby this said light is now constantly going on and off moving between green to amber and back again. Before it would always be constant amber when off. It's as if now it is constantly changing the speed at which it's negotiating hence the led changes. I'm again wondering if others notice similar behaviour- I am concerned that what is occurring could affect the consoles ability to auto update itself or any apps/games that are installed. I have done everything I can from restarting the router to switching Ethernet cables but still see the same. It's frustrating as I can't really tell if it is a problem or not but admittedly I was more settled seeing a static LED beforehand. As soon as I power the Xbox on there is no issue, led is green and stays on at gigabit blinking away with its usual activity with no problems utilising online features etc
