    Xbox one in standby

When I turn my Xbox one off it's in instant on mode. I notice that when it is in this mode the router into which it is hard wired changes the light above its port from green (gigabit) to amber (100 Mbps). Is that normal? It's always been like this but was curious.

the other thing I have noticed (possibly since the last update) is when in standby this said light is now constantly going on and off moving between green to amber and back again. Before it would always be constant amber when off. It's as if now it is constantly changing the speed at which it's negotiating hence the led changes. I'm again wondering if others notice similar behaviour- I am concerned that what is occurring could affect the consoles ability to auto update itself or any apps/games that are installed. I have done everything I can from restarting the router to switching Ethernet cables but still see the same. It's frustrating as I can't really tell if it is a problem or not but admittedly I was more settled seeing a static LED beforehand. As soon as I power the Xbox on there is no issue, led is green and stays on at gigabit blinking away with its usual activity with no problems utilising online features etc

Might be worth posting in site bugs and suggestions so John can have a look.

Active router ports are normally indicated by a flashing LED with the colour indicating link speed.

Connected but inactive will often be shown as a Steady LED, (colours may vary due to the common use of multi-colour LED and manufacturer's preference)

PS You can actively edit a URL link in a post if the automatic Parse fail to translate correctly, Change to non WYSIWYG Editor and edit the incorrect text, being careful to not change the actual coding

Thank you. Maybe it is staying connected. I just noted that up until some time ago it was always amber and I suppose inactive. These days in standby mode it is constantly switching from amber to green, back again etc etc. It's as if it is maybe going into an energy save by preferring amber 10/100 when not doing anything but there is a network activity and it quickly goes out and renegotiates at green gigabit ready for action. I guess all is ok, it's just a changed behaviour. It would make better sense in my opinion to stay at green gigabit at all times. That's more in keeping with all our other devices which even when inactive stay at the same LED/speed. Oh well, not an issue, the XBOX when used works well - I'll try and put it to the back of my mind!
