    Game FPS capped at 60

So I'm pretty sure this started happening after the Creator's update.

I can't get more than 60 FPS in the games I play (League of Legends, Overwatch). Before I was constantly getting 100+. VSync is off, frame limit is uncapped in both game. Using latest NVidia drivers, VSync disabled in the control panel as well.

I've had this problem before, but disabling GameDVR helped (according to these instructions). Now the problem is back. Any ideas?

Assuming you don't have Vsync enabled, and assuming Geforce experience or something has not upped your in game graphic settings, check game mode to ensure you aren't recording in the background.

You aren't talking about FPS while Game DVR (recording in the background) is enabled, right? Note in that scenario , video FPS are default 30, max 60 as "high quality video capture may impact the quality of your game".

I definitely have vsync off, and I'm not using any custom software that might be interfering.
And yes, I'm talking about FPS when GameDVR is already disabled (I did it through the registry, quite some time ago, before it was available in the settings UI).

UPDATE: it looks like the problem is indeed caused by Windows. I can fix the FPS capping by going to game shortcut's (apparently it's better to do it directly to the .exe, but it worked for me on the shortcut as well) properties, Compatibility tab, and selecting "Disable fullscreen optimizations". It seems like that setting is pretty obscure and it's hard to find any info about it. :/

Had the same problem, out of nowhere just fps started being capped at 60, your trick helped. Funny that the same issue appeared bac 3 years later. Running windows 10 1909 with the latest updates installed.
