Candy Crush Saga and Candy Crush Soda Saga black screen upon launching

Hi, the game worked out fine for more than 3 months, when all of a sudden I woke up to find out that both of the game had stopped working like they should be. I did install both of the game from Windows Store. When I launch the game, it's just pure blank of black screen. I waited long enough for it to hopefully work, then it just closes itself.

I tried reinstalling it, but to no luck. I've used "wsreset.exe" and Microsoft troubleshooter for Windows Store but unfortunately the problem still persist. Here's a screen of what I'm experiencing at the moment. https://i.imgur.com/Vkr0OK5.png
(ps. even if I run the game one at a time without the other, it's still black)

Any help would be hugely appreciated. Currently running a Windows 10 (14393.953)

can I ask you if you had those apps installed on different drive or on the C: (Windows installation drive)?
Also, could you please check if any other app does the same? In particular preinstalled apps (News, Mail, Calendar etc)?

I had a simialr issue after updating a few days ago (not the black window but apps close itself immediately), I choose to install Windows from scratch but it could be a different issue what you have here.. let's say that I'm just curious, at the moment!

sure, i installed both of the game from the Windows Store so i'm pretty sure both of them were installed in the C: indeed. some other apps didnt want to launch 2 days back, but i managed to fix that so now basically all apps like calculator, mail, calendar works like they should be. except for News and Sports, i just realized.

i soooo dont want to reinstall anything because i'm too damn lazy.

eh eh eh wish you so, mate!

so, a few apps did not work a few days ago but you managed to fix them; two apps do not work now (I guess they open and immediatly close, as it was for me)..
Can I ask you as you fix them? Simply unistalling and reinstalling?

Last but not lease, could you please try to change your apps drive installation for a few minutes and ionstalling an app whatsoever?

the apps not launching problem was giving me headache but i fixed them by uninstalling a theme patch that i had installed a while back. it was "aeroglass", doesn't seem to work with the newest version of windows 10. as soon as i uninstalled that, i got my start menu and some other apps back. but not these few. reinstalling them didn't do it for me. then again, when was it ever that simple eh?

i honestly don't know if i have the option to select drive when installing the app from windows store. if there's a way, lemme know!

mmmmm.. I never used Aero Glass but I had installed UXStyle and a custom VS theme, didn't think it could be a roblem so I didn't try to unistall before reistalling Windows

about drive selection for new apps it's easy to do: oen Settings ----> System ----> Storage and then

don't know who but it really seems an issue similar to the one I had..

BTW I was able to install apps on primary disk as normal..

So, I hoped someone more expert than me proposed you some solution, but anyway, did you still try to unregister apps? did not find any tutorial here but if you search google you'll find a lot

EDIT: by changing back the new apps drive to C: revert the sit as before? I really hope so!!!

    I'm feeling guilty now!!

did you already found this Clear & Reset Windows Store Cache in Windows 10 / 8.1 I know you reset Store cache but other links there could help..

also, you should try to use the sfc /scannow to see if you have problems on system image.

furthermore, did you tried to create a new account and check how thing are there?

EDIT: this too FixWin for Windows 10: Repair problems and issues in a click
