You could try this process to recover bookmarks in Firefox. (saw your posting in another section.)

let me tell you the rest of my sad story. my sweet husband died one Sunday morning of a heart attack. 6 months later his father did the same. i brought all of his electronics to my house to try to sell. i did reset to factory some of the lap tops, but not this one. i think all of his stuff is out, but there are so many acer programs and win 10. it's crazy. i would like to reset to factory, byt wouldn't that stll leave the acer files and th windows 10 programs? i would format the hard drive, but can't get that to work. seems like it's protected. did you see that the message i get is that 28.7 gb is used out of 29.9 gb./ i need to do something. i don't need a lot of fancy programs to make me happy. i do have another acer here that runs windows 7. maybe i'll change to that one. i like to have my big monitor attached and the monitor plug on the acer one doesn't screw on so it keeps falling off. can i format this c drive????

Resetting will put the W10 operating system back to the way it was, without additional programs or user data. The Acer bloatware will still be there, yes. The way to get rid of that is to clean install using media from Microsoft, so you only get the operating system, and not all the other stuff. But that's a bit involved, as you'd need to backup your device drivers first.

How big is the hard drive? That seems awfully small. Is this a tablet or hybrid of some sort? Can you give the details (part number, etc.)?

Happy to see you got your bookmarks back. You can add your Firefox profile to your backup routine and should it ever be deleted again you will get everything back up to the point of your last back up.

I moved my profile folder into Documents so it is part of natural backup.

Agree with simrick, 30GB seems really small. Can you follow this tutorial and post your disk Mgmt. Widen all columns.
