Microsoft bringing new 'Game Mode' to Windows 10

Microsoft is working on a brand new "Game Mode" feature for Windows 10 that will enhance the PC gaming experience by minimizing resources used by running apps to almost nothing and allocating freed up resources to the game, making it run faster, better and smoother overall.

This new feature was first spotted by WalkingCat in the recently leaked build 14997, and although it isn't working yet, we understand it's a feature that will be showing up for Insiders very soon, as it's something that's set to arrive with the Creators Update.

This would be really nice, especially if it's not locked to just UWP games. Maybe it would make it so I don't have to manually set the GTAV.exe process to high priority every time to avoid textures disappearing.

WE WANT DX 12! AMD FX 8350 will perform better at DX 12 than DX 11.

We need AMD to be on the market place or else Intel will increase the price of their CPU.
I believe the new AMD Ryzen chips are supposed to be out next month. From what I've read, they compete pretty well with Intel's current offerings.

Pretty cool indeed as long as they do this:

"especially if it's not locked to just UWP games"

I'll bet every PC gamer is asking themselves that question, which in itself delivers a message to Microsoft.
