Thanks. Maybe a new issue related to DSR.

Perhaps similar scenario for AMD as I haven't been following them, but I get the feeling with a week to go the Nvidia driver team is somewhat overwhelmed ( more than usual).

Wish a half dozen people from Microsoft's DX 12 team would sit with Nvidia for the next week as they approach launch and help get their drivers ready. I figure they could use the help. Don't know how busy the Direct X 12 team is; that code is done, right? Besides, with those benefits of living on the Microsoft compound, they only need like 4 hours sleep
I would assume that DX12 code is done, but maybe not. Seeing as how we likely won't see any native DX12 games until the upcoming holiday season, at least, they may consider it as beta at the moment. I agree, though. I hope MS and Nvidia are working pretty closely together to put out drivers that take as much advantage as possible right now of DX12.

New drivers out today for Windows 10 came through Windows Update. 353.54. DSR is available again in the Nvidia Control Panel. MFAA still has to be forced through Nvidia Inspector though.

Thanks, Blackrose. Please let us know how this driver performs without down clocking.

BTW, are your Maxwell cards showing as Direct x 12.1 capable in Direct x Diagnostic? I believe Kepler cards are only partially Direct x 12.0 capable, not 12.1, based on the chart below.

I'll let you know if I can run at normal clocks again after my gaming session tonight.

I have just switched over to Windows 10 and a new gtx 970 (single) trying out gaming to see if it works and if I want to upgrade to Windows 10 right away. I am using le latest NVidia that came out yesterday. I am playing a bit older games like bioshock infinite an even quake 3 (with DSR 3840 x 2400 and MFAA LOL). I also played bioshock with DSR. So far I haven't had any issues but it is too early to tell. I have also run heaven and valley benches for a significant time with no issues (and this is OC).

What brand of GTX970 are you running, and does it have a factory overclock or did you OC it manually?

MSI 370 970 Gaming 4G. It is overclocked and I have also overclocked it to 1450 MHz/7400 MHz.

I just ran Borderland 2 at DSR 2x (I have 1920 x 1200 and ran at 3840 x 2400 DSR) and it seems to work fine too..

Cool. Thanks for the info. Going to do some testing with my Gigabyte G1's then.

I've been playing GTA V with my clocks set to stock factory OC settings for the last 4.5 hours and no lockups. I can't say that the problem is definitely solved, but I'm able to run my cards in SLI without underclocking for 4+ hours, which is a first for me on DX12 drivers.

Good stuff, thanks blackrose. Hope the same holds true for Kepler. Figure I'll be able to see numerous posts and evaluate based on all my hardware after the 29th.
