Even though SFC reports no problems, could you please run the following command and let us know the result (preferrable with a screenshot)
Code:DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

I also tried to run the SeaTools for DOS but ran into some confusion; the instructions have me download SeaToolsDOS then I extract it to SeaToolsDOD223ALL. That went OK. Next went into that folder and renamed seatools.ima to seatool.img. OK, but the next step wants me to burn only the seatools.img to the usb drive?? That looks like its leaving behind that which makes it bootable?? Please clarify, I don't feel like I'm understanding enough to do this right.
That may look like it to you, but is that the reality? :)That looks like its leaving behind that which makes it bootable??
Many have performed the instructions and have booted succesfully SeaTools DOS.
Hi Axe0
I finally got SeaToolsDos running. Given a 1TB HDD how long should the test take? I know CHKDSK takes a very long time. Right now the elapsed timer reads 32 min. Funny thing: the elapsed timer started at 2:00:00. The Drive List IDs my HDD but Test Progress window says "Idle".
You could count on several hours for SeaTools DOS, but TBH I can't say. I've never used it myself. If you want I could test it on my 1TB drive in my laptop :)
No need to run the test on your laptop. I'll give you an update after its run a few hours... hopefully it'll be done. It's been a little over 1 hour now.
After 3 1/2 hrs I started fiddling and find that you have to select which test; short, long or audio. Short ran (~2 min) and passed. I'm going to do the 'long' now.
