Hey axe0 I'm running chkdsk now. If I remember correctly it should complete by next Tuesday.

The HDD is a WD1002FAEX-00Z3A0 which Western Digital says runs at 7200rpn. However, Speccy reports it at 10000rpm???
    Also, CHKDSK finished:

HDTune just finished. I ran 'error scan', 'benchmark scan', but saw no action to perform for 'health'. All screenshots attached:

Try Crystal Disk Info for the health please.

but saw no action to perform for 'health'
That is correct, the health is in other words the S.M.A.R.T.ng Technology) of a hard drive. With S.M.A.R.T. you could find out if possible problems may be present in the mechanism of the drive. You check how high or low an attribute is and keep an eye on it, through this way it is possible to tell when a drive could fail.
