Well I noticed that if you sign in with a Microsoft account, then your progress (score etc) is saved to your account. If you install the same game in a new computer and sign in with the same account, your progress is there, so you don't have to play all the levels again. This is valid at least for Microsoft games, such as Microsoft Mahjong, I'm not sure for third party games. Other games might save progress in Facebook or otherwise, like in Android games. So sign in to Facebook (if applicable) to save your progress before moving to a new computer.
Yeah I know the candy crush has facebook login, etc
    but that is crap.

The reason is because I had sync my game to using facebook login, but that account is now disabled by facebook.
So if I install the game again on a new pc, I cannot login to facebook so it can sync.

Also with the recent Facebook voting scandal, I don't want facebook to link with too many apps/games.

In Android there is an application called DataSync that can sync an application's (or game's) data between two devices or through the cloud (Google drive etc). I don't know if there is something similar for Windows. Anyone else?

Folder to backup in Win 10

I've recently moved over a Candy Crush login profile to a new PC just by copying over one directory.

I wanted to copy Candy Crush Soda Saga to a new PC. So I installed the game app in the new PC and located this directory in the old PC and replaced the directory in the new PC.
    \Users\[user_profile]\appdata\local\packages\king.com.CandyCrushSodaSaga_kgqvnymyfvs32

Ran the new app in the new PC and everything was there, except for the Profile picture. It is logged in with an email address, but copying over that directory to the new machine copied over the login and everything.

Anyway, check that Packages directory for certain apps you want to move to another machine. I've read if you want to copy Mic. Edge info, just find the Edge directory and replace in the new machine. Might get someone closer to copying their saved game data to a new machine.

Some Windows games will keep your progress online if you login with your Microsoft account before playing. When you install the same game to a new computer and then login with the same account, your progress is retrieved. I don't think that is the case for all games, but is better than nothing.
