move win10 game/app save data to new pc

I install a game called candy crush saga on windows 10, and have reached a certain level.
Unfortunately this game data is not sync with facebook and cannot be sync with facebook
because my previous facebook account was disabled.
If i do a sync with a new facebook account, then it will start me at level 1 again.

I have recently installed win10 on another pc but i want to migrate my game save data over to the new pc

    how can i do this?

ie what is folder name and where is it located?

do i reinstall candy crush first on new pc
then copy the save data folder and overwrite that folder..?

is there a an easier way to migrate game data over
e.g. something similar to icloud / game sync etc..

I would still like to know how to do it locally and manually though.

I don't have that game but Win 10 seems to put all my games saves in a "Saved Games" folder in the top folder of the user account the games are played from.

In theory you login to Facebook or Microsoft Account and your progress is saved. You could then restore it by login to the new computer. But in practice, this is not the case! I have the same problem with Microsoft Mahjong. I have unlocked all the levels and I wouldn't like to play them all again in my notebook!

I recently bought a new smartphone running Android and I found the DataSync app that can save the game's progress on Google Drive, DropBox or whatever compatible cloud storage. Then you go to another android device (such as the Android emulator Bluestacks) and you can use DataSync to restore your game progress from the cloud! Does anyone know if there is something similar for Windows apps? I did a quick search but unfortunately found nothing! And it's rather late (local time 2:40am), so I have to go to bed... If anyone knows a solution for Windows apps/games (and even for desktop games) please do share!

Yeah, these games requiring facebook login is crap
cos if your facebook account gets disable, you are stuff.
If u then try to sync a new account to the game, it will get reset to level 1.

Thanks for the info about datasync
Do u know of an IOS equivalent?

I also looking for the windows equivalent as well.

I wonder if we can just copy the local save file?
But we need to know where they are located.

Well, I had a look and discovered the path is:

    C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

But you are not normally allowed to access that folder. You must right-click, select Properties and then go to Security tab. Then change the current owner to yourself or Administrators and make sure that you also change the owner in all subfolders and contents (check the relevant box). Then you are allowed to access it, only to get confused! I found 3 folders referring to Microsoft Mahjong! What should I copy? I would just copy all of them and once I install Mahjong to the new PC I'll replace them to see what happens...

I hope that helps, but I would prefer a safer and automatic way like DataSync. I'm not sure if there is an iOS version, I don't have any Apple device to check, but you can search in the Apple Store for Data sync or similar. That's how I found that.

can u try the copy local save method and report back it the levels are still there?

With regards to IOS, I think we need jailbreak method,
I don't think this is something that apple would approve as an app.

Well I noticed that if you sign in with a Microsoft account, then your progress (score etc) is saved to your account. If you install the same game in a new computer and sign in with the same account, your progress is there, so you don't have to play all the levels again. This is valid at least for Microsoft games, such as Microsoft Mahjong, I'm not sure for third party games. Other games might save progress in Facebook or otherwise, like in Android games. So sign in to Facebook (if applicable) to save your progress before moving to a new computer.
