I don't believe I would want one even as a gift unless I could sell it.
It's probably just fine for an STB or for decent console slave gaming and the the very popular Microsoft exclusive games not on a PC or Sony PS >(probably never) now or yet or whatever

I like the Groove Music app but I play loss less FLAC or WAV 16/44 or 24 bit music off metal here sourced mostly from the 24 bit safety masters at the labels or our projects and marketplace work all outside of the suicidal uniform loudness CD mixes

No suicide mp3 or iTunes here I only use it occasionally in noisy environments and I tossed most of it anyway.

I can always make suicidal mp 3 /aac playlists from the real deal anyway
don't use Groove that much, really.. even on the PC - and on the Xbox I'm limited by my TV's sound set-up..

On the PC, I've got Cyberlink for those crazy hi-tec BluRay surround-sound things - Talking Heads/Remain In Light is ace..
    - but I prefer basic WMP simplicity (equalized to "jazz") thru my bass-womping Logitech set-up..

    - at max volume, it attracts alien craft..

You will be all better off for dollar to dollar and product quality with Sony PlayStation hands down...

I looked at both products very carefully and found that the PlayStation does succeed the Xbox and many ways then just one

"again this is just my personal insight regarding this subject regarding the MS Xbox " not to be a standard you all please buy and use what you feel fit and enjoy regarding Xbox Vs PS

I have a PS3 it's a decent media player, extender and Blue Ray./DVD player and not bad at console slave gaming .

^^^^ We use it on any given TV in the crib here at various times but My my new 2015 4K HDR Sony Andoid TV in here has all the usual extender /smart TV apps (some of Sony's ) and Kodi I side loaded and some other Android APPS I side loaded into it and it plays straight off USB hdd's or my PC and or its DVD ODD , Roku and Dish and streams PS3 games without a console and soon PS4 games with the pending Sony XBR HDR TV firmware updates due out from Sony in a day or so but the PS 3 is the excellent house Blue Ray player here get one of these TV's and you maybe wont even need a PC or Console it has Chrome & Opera browsers and Google/Sony voice search and assistant and it takes a mouse /KB or nearly anything you can run on Anrdoid via USB or pair up via Bluetooth & it Wi Fi ,Miracast & Chromecast & Sony Bravia Sync !

.I Can tell it to change OTA channels ,goto an OTA channel from any other input or app , ask it any number of questions ,scores, weather or stock queries , or search queries or tell it to switch inputs or apps but the web browsers are slow

    Greetings and Good Evening...

Anything that goes through any XBR series set expect to be blown away, and if you pay the funds to have a pro come for an hour or two to set you up with ISF calibration menus for your video section your King....

Nice gear and set up Cousin

The PS4 will not stream games or media to your PC, but the XBOX will. The PS4 will not let you use external storage either, the XBOX will. The PS4 will not play audio Cd's and will also not support MP3s, either those loaded onto its hard drive or streaming from your computer. My XBOX will play MPs from external media. I haven't tried an audio CD in it though.

    According to this anyway, http://www.tomsguide.com/us/ps4-faq-...ews-17797.html

Give it a few months you will hear about PS5 and PS6 and on and on, keep in mind whatever Sony thinks/ essential then you will see what your lacking, if Sony doesn't want these features or extras you will never see it, plus Sony tries very hard at all times not to copy anyone's design at any measure,,,, quick thinking Sony could just open a link via update to their cloud and give 200GB of free data storage for an example

I roll my own calibrations but I got this one hacked outside of the two bt709 calibrated Cinema modes for bt2020 & DCI-P3 wide color gamuts and remapping regular 4:2:2 bt709 TV and Blue ray and (other 4:2:0 ) to wider color gamuts to use the benefit of the Sony Triliminous panel and 4K X1 Pro video monster silicon because regular LCD cant make true RGY primary's and everything looks dull in comparison on those often even without re mapping .

On 4K SDR WCG or HDR WCG or even clean re mapped 1080p bt709 color and 4K up scaling it can blow your mind and my other main set out front is a Samsung 64f8500 PDP so I'm familiar with stonking good video and I got the news and business or ball game on most of day but its great for movies ,sports 4K downloads and Good TV go figure

There will be a new XBOX at some point too. I'm just pointing out things as they are now. Assuming the info on that site is accurate.
Microsoft could offer extra free One Drive storage for XBOX owners too, if they wanted. I likely get some if I buy an XBOX Gold subscription, I haven't looked into it yet.
I have the XBOX SmartGlass App on my PC and can remote into the XBOX from my PC. Just like using remote desktop. I haven't done much else than that though.

Right Sony does what Sony does but they flashed an HDMI 2.0a and HDR -10 & and 2160p/60 4:4:4 & HDCP 2.2 update to all the HDMI ports on these 4K XBR HDR TV's now that 4K HDR and UHD BD and 4K STB are becoming available and didn't tell anyone at first that these sets could do all that for at let 6 mo. outside of the embedded streaming apps with HDMI 2.0a ,HDCP 2.2 and 2160p 4:4:4 and just needed a firmware flash for all that and we got something else coming this week maybe Android Marshmallow 6.x and Dolby Vision ? .

Right I read the PS4 doesn't have DLNA streaming like PS 3 go figure but I'm betting they could flash it with any number of things
