seems to be a lot of games that support the xbox controller ( going to try this myself) if the buttons don't match your keys for the game

It's a bit of a bummer that not all games work with a controller, but I suppose it's not curated like the Games For Windows brand was (GFW was Microsoft branding which basically tells the player it's compatible with 360 controller (no longer operating anymore)), but I suppose it's just something we have to get used to, the Windows 10 Minecraft beta works with pad (but it's not everyone's cup of tea).
I am kinda surprised they did not revive the games for windows brand with windows 10. It would make things a lot easier to tell gamers like me what games will work in the new windows. Yeah I agree its to bad that not all games work with controllers.
For me it has been hit or miss with the controller. I know that it works with the Asphalt games (7, 8, Overdrive, etc) and GT Racing 2 if you like racing games. If you like RPG, then the Dungeon Hunter games (at least 4 & 5) will work. Modern Combat 5 is also free and works with the controller (if you are looking for a good Call of Duty type game). If you want to spend money and like Halo, there are 2 games available that are also controller-enabled.
I forgot about Overkill 3 (also a shooter like Modern Combat 5). That is also supposed to work.
