Continuing on with GTA V. This Helicopter FBI Three's Company mission is pretty cool. Nice view from up here.



On another note, Blackrose, did you see the ICX cooler upgrade program for the EVGA cards? My FTW 1080 ACX card runs just fine but I can't stop thinking about this. $100 though.

Yeah, I saw that on Reddit. If I knew that the 1080 Ti was going to be announced within the next 90 days, I'd consider it, since the ICX upgrade cards are eligible for Step-Up. Paying $100 to "upgrade" to my exact same card with a new fan shroud and some sensors though? I think I'm gonna pass.

1080P, Ultra, 125% Resolution Scale, DX 12 ON, Async Compute ON, all running as smooth as butter. Look at those high FPS numbers.



You can enable a feature that tracks the shot if it's on target and shows you in slow motion where it hits and the damage caused. Cool.

Wow that looks pretty insane

The target turns to skeleton mode as the bullet impacts. Headshot (below) most bonus points and it also depends on distance.



I had friends over and they were looking at this gameplay. I didn't have a clear shot and when released it hit just "below the belt". Three of us (guys) got bad goose bumps. One of our fine lady friends (who just dumped her BF) saw that and with a smile said "let me try this". Seems the game, other than being DX12 - Async compute capable, is also capable of releasing pent up anger issues.

In the second mission, you have to snipe your way to the railway bridge, plant explosives, get away and fire a shot to ignite the explosives and bring down the bridge and that big gun. Bridge is just starting to fall (below).

That does look pretty awesome. Thought Sniper Elite was coming to the end of its time.

Seems to be fairly popular with Steam members as well. Up to number 6 on the Steam top selling list for February 21.
