Time Spy was supposedly developed to show what the future of PC gaming was going to be like. This is a boring interview which I found interesting, probably most won't.
I liked it. Thanks. Interesting what was said about game devs, as we know, they want the least effort for the most benefit. Likely won't be spending much time game optimizing the DX 12 graphic cue versus compute cue. If the work is thrown all down the one channel, it's like DX11.

Hopefully game devs are getting more on board and good at it. I "perk up" when I see a DX 12 game release.

What I got out of it too, was it can be sent through a single channel because Maxwell does not have Async. Compute, only Pascal does. If it wasn't allowed, only Pascal could run the test. Game developers are also not going to code a game that cuts a large percentage of their market out of being able to play it. So, the thought is that games will be coded in the future to where it will run it either way. I would suspect that in the next couple of years, there will not be many Maxwell cards in the gaming community.

Yes, I got that too. They mentioned without Async ( ie Maxwell) the GPU workload would schedule normally through just the one graphic channel. So Maxwell wouldn't benefit from Async but its existing performance wouldn't be hurt because of Async.

When I posted that Steam hardware data, believe GTX 970 was still at the top of the list. So I guess it will take a couple of years before most Nvidia gamers have Async capabilities.

Makes me wonder what Nvidia's position is. You would think they want everyone to move to Pascal with Async and good DX 12 capability. But then you see them working very closely with devs like Ubisoft. GRW is Ubisoft's "supreme" game map with many Nvidia features. Why is there no DX 12 option in that game? With all the money Nvidia spent on DX 11 optimization, it makes me think they themselves are hanging onto DX 11. With their investment in DX 11, many would say they have the performance advantage in those titles. Perhaps DX 11 was easier for both Nvidia and Ubisoft. I remember reading that DX 12 implementation isn't/wasn't as easy as it "should be". Not sure if that has changed.

Pretty cool, both Doom (Vulcan) and GOW 4 (UWP) running with AB's OSD 4.40 beta 12 and RTSS 7.

The release of Doom was actually a main reason I upgraded my hardware. The EVGA FTW 1080 and I 7 6700K don't disappoint. With OSD now possible, check out the good GPU clocks and look at the number of times the game hits that max 200 FPS.

Sorry for the poor game play at the beginning. I was looking at the OSD. :)

GTX 1080 at 1080P. Awesome high FPS performance at Ultra, especially Vulcan Doom.
