Yeah, I get that. For me, it's just that there is so much to do. Don't get me wrong, I love games with side quests and collectibles and all that (he says as he plays through AC4 Black Flag for the fifth time), but with Fallout 4 it's just overwhelming sometimes.

Or maybe I just need to avoid Preston and his "another settlement needs our help" BS. lol
    - in my current game I haven't joined the Minutemen - got the suit in Concord, but didn't take Preston up on his offer..
    - I've just gone onto Diamond City and started Nick Valentine's Detective Agency's quests against the Institute..
    - bit tricky as I'm still pretty weak, but it's a different sort of game start for me..

I branched off the main storyline quite a while back because I'm at the point where I have a big decision to make and am not quite sure which way to go with it. So now I'm currently running around Far Harbor blasting monsters and goofing around.

Very nice, Stephanie. Look at me playing Fallout 4. I have 4 guns, no bullets. It just took me 15 minutes to find a knife.

Although I use optimal power (not max performance) I have never seen this 1080 in game at a low 1721 clock, 49C temp and 41% usage. All likely due to a slow pace (or my slow pace as I don't know what I'm doing) and a 60 FPS cap. It's asleep, my CPU is asleep, I'm asleep.

I like blowing stuff up too.

Did you manually cap it at 60 FPS or is it built into the game? I have my FPS capped at 100 in FO4 because things get a bit screwy beyond that, but I can't remember if i had to do something to unlock the framerate or not.

We talked about that around post 510 (below). I think you used that hack which results in runaway frame rates which you are controlling with NV Inspector.

Too much trouble and I don't use NV Inspector. I could set max performance in Nvidia control panel to at least stabilize clocks but then that's a reboot every time I play Fallout 4. Not knocking the game, but at its pace so far (or more likely my pace of getting good at it or focusing) I think it's meant for 60 FPS.
