Dude and I (essenbe?) use Handbrake. Very easy and Win 7 on up. Can use default settings plus web optimized and match FPS to source and should be good to go.

    Attachment 144436

    HandBrake: Open Source Video Transcoder

    Thanks Mr Mike.
Yep, I've used it for years and it's as fast and as good quality as any out there (I've used most of them). When it crashes your rig, raise your Vcore.... a lot. You will find out if you are really stable.

Who would have guessed that exit?
Saw the ramp (or sheet metal leaning against the fence and the motor cycles lined up.

I didn't know that. It has never crashed my system. But I have only used this 1.0.7 version.

It's in W7 so I'll have to get some program for recording the play, Which one (free) ? Never done that.
Mike: I not using handbrake to RECORD video. I'm using it to compress the video. I use GFE shadow play to record which isn't good for you. I think dude also uses afterburner to record. Believe it works with AMD.

Oh, I thought Handbrake can record too. Anyway. I just remembered that AMD GPU drivers have ReLive feature but I newer installed it or tried it. It works (or supposed to) from key shortcuts. Will try it tonight, got some welding to do now.

Ya, I figured AMD would have their own recording software. A 5 minute game video depending on quality settings can be 2-3GB. Handbrake compresses to a couple hundred megs. Then you can upload faster and be a you tube star! Or choose unlisted and forget about fame.

Some video manipulating programs I used use handbrake as a codec, this Handbrake is just GUI for it. I downloaded last version.

I believe MSI Afterburner has a recorder too, also the Xbox app can record too. As Specialkone said, the file sizes will be huge. Handbrake will take care of most of that. The last video I did was 26 minutes and 9 GB raw. Handbrake got it down to 1.8 GB. That's still big, but a great reduction. That's probably why you see most You Tube videos at 6 to 8 minutes.

Yeah I know. My security camera can take a good chunk of HDD when it records so I set it to 30 seconds at a time once movement is detected and it's only at 800X600 res. It records in MP4.

If this helps, this is the video capture settings in MSI Afterburner. As you can see, I don't use it, but it works fine. I think @Dude used to use it.
