Ya, that's how it works. As those gamers started buying it in 2013 they kept telling others they actually hated it which produced 32 million in sales that year. Then soooo many of those 32 million kept telling everyone else they bought it by mistake - don't buy it - which resulted in tens of millions of additional sales each year after, with 2016 sales actually topping 2015, and 2017 showing GTA V at the top of the Steam sales regularly, and that's 4 years after its release.

Now I get why that ONE statistics course you took gave you such a headache.

Anyone who hasn't given GTA V a try, you're missing out IMHO. 80 million gamers can't be wrong. That's incredible.
I really wish they'd come up with more single player DLC, but seeing as how I'm a little over 1,250 hours into GTA Online, I guess I'm OK that they haven't.

This is gonna take a while. Guess I should actually play it a bit instead of just using it for it's benchmark.

@specialkone After an 8 hour download, I finally got to run the benchmark. Dropped my resolution in it to 1080p to match up with yours.

Thank you very much, Blackrose. Well I see that your average GPU FPS number is almost 50 FPS higher than mine. Interesting though that your min FPS aren't that much higher than mine, but with yours at 119 who would complain. Note from the game dev release notes below they mention that you will get the benefits from multi GPU if you are 80%+ GPU bound. My is 32% so overall it seems to make sense. Your average is significantly higher but mins aren't much different so multi GPU of course isn't needed at 1080P with a GTX 1080.

What are your benchmark numbers at 1440P? How is the GPU scaling? Also, yes, play the game. I've played through twice and IMHO it is the smoothest running DX12 title I have. Guess it's Microsoft's DX12 poster child. I'd be interested to hear from you if it's running smoothly in 1440P multi GPU mode.

    Release Notes*
"To get the most out of Multi GPU, your game needs to be GPU bound (meaning the GPU is limiting you from higher framerates). You can check your performance using the in-game benchmark, which will tell you the percentage GPU bound the game is under load. If this number is 80+% than you should get some benefit from using multiple GPUs.
Increasing the resolution of the game or increasing the quality of some of the settings is a good way to take advantage of the extra rendering power of the second GPU.
The implementation of Multi GPU in Gears of War 4 requires constant synchronization of data between the two GPUs. Using 4K resolution and “Ultra” quality shadows may exceed the bandwidth available on the PCIe bus for synchronizing the two cards, causing stuttering or slowdown in the game.
Only two GPUs will be utilized if SLI or CrossFire is enabled. Systems with more than two GPUs will not see additional gains"

    Here's the 1440 benchmark:

OpenHardwareMonitor shows both GPUs as hitting 96% usage on the core. The RTSS OSD in game was showing 55-60% usage on both cards on average, but it also seemed to be causing some issue with the benchmark, so I turned the OSD off and started the benchmark over, which is what the results above are from. I did notice that I'm much, much less GPU bound at 1440 than at 1080.

As for in-game performance...I've played through the prologue so far and have had no slowdowns or stuttering. It's running smooth as silk so far.

Great stuff and your average framerates are the same as mine are at 1080P. Nice.

Ive played most the game story on Xbox. Not had it on PC but really like that sound of the DLC's online play.

Is it too late to buy this game now and join in the party do you think? Or is there still places for noobs?

I've just read on some places that joining now will be difficult to do anything online.

Don't really want to pay full price for a game that I've mostly completed already
