Probably only applies to my ancient rig, but..
AMD 17.4.4 graphics driver used with insider build 16179 giving severe problems, especially with older games
- hopefully Microsoft will issue an updated insider build tomorrow..

Sorry for the late response. I've run NMS multiple times over the past week and can't seem to recreate your issue. Are you running the Steam or GOG version of it?

Alright, I'm running the GOG version, so that may be why I can't reproduce the error. Have you tried verifying the game files through Steam? Just in case you haven't done it before, you can do that by right clicking on the game in your game list, select properties, click on Local Files and then click on Verify Integrity of Game Files.

Edit: I also found this possible solution on the Steam forums. If you haven't tried it yet, it may be worth a shot.

- the Steam version of X3:AlbionPrelude is glitchy on Insider build 16188 with AMD 17.5.1.BETA driver..
- having problems getting the game to start..

- others have reported it - apparently CTRL/ALT/Tabbing and returning to the game, solves it for some..
- no joy here, though..
