games that won't stay minimized....fix for this?

I find some games when i use control/tab to minimize them (as long as there is another window open) will not stay minimized. As soon as i hit another window, browser, or anything else, the game opens full screen again. Granted, the current window i have opened is on top but the game is maximized in back of it. Is there a away to minimize the game so that it stays on the taskbar no matter what i do and only opens full screen if i click on the game n the taskbar ?

I already tried all that. That's what i always hear but I have yet to have that work in any game. Maybe that was in old windows OS, i dunno. But has ever worked once for me.

What games does it happen with? Will look and see if I can find something to help. Some games allow editing the cfg file to fix stuff like that.

Are you playing on Steam? What GPU? Do you use overlays?

Try this, instead of alt+tab hit windows key+d

That should go back to desktop then you should be able to go to what you want.

"alt + enter" or "F4" are usually the keys that most programs ( usually games ) have assigned to minimize the window or bring it out of full-screen.

You could do a "Ctrl+ Alt+delete" and that could start the task manager. You could do whatever there. Or maybe even
have access to the taskbar in an attempt to minimize or close.

If your game is not true Full-screen mode pressing the Windows-key can allow you to have some access to the desktop,
( if your explorer is on )

    Window-Key + R = Run box.
( if your explorer is on )

Some keyboards ( usually near F3 or an FN-key + F3 ) have a special tab button that will bring up whatever window is open,
allowing you to view that window. Not sure if this will cancel out the game in full screen for whatever you bring up.
