I know this is a long shot as Games Explorer isn't supported for newer W10 builds but I was wondering if it was possible to edit the shortcuts that are added to the explorer? I was able to restore it to 22H2 using a tutorial from this forum but I have yet to figure out how to edit shortcuts and add custom details like box art or icons.

So far I have tried the tutorials from sevenforums to add and edit games but to begin with there is no GameUX key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion for me to edit. As for editing games with VGEE, I'm still prompted to install a game before continuing even after downloading a legacy game.

Games Explorer Editor successfully "adds" a game with my chosen icon and additional info, but I can't double-click to launch the game and there's no context menu when I right-click the shortcut (meaning no deleting the useless thing!) I have to use gameuxcleaner to delete the game and I'm unable to find where in the registry it's removing the game from.
