I bought this long time ago but never got it to work properly on Win7.

But I tried it yesterday on a Win10 PC and everything seems to work OK, except for a short intro video when first launched. After that everything seems just fine.

You don't have to install it & can play everything from the disc. In fact my notes say I was not able to install it. I just copied all the files to the HDD / SSD.

But I am curious why it now works on Win10, especially since this is a 64 bit OS. Any thoughts?

Anything is speculation but probably just missing a runtime or dx or what ever is running the games.
