Displayport to HDMI cable getting HOT!

I am gaming, or trying to anywho, at 3840x2160@144hz between a 7900xtx and a TCL 6 series 55".
After a while the screen will flicker black and lose signal for a second. I thought maybe I had a weak cable so I bought another one that definitely handles 4k@144hz.

I still have the flickering signal loss after 30 mins in a game. I checked the cable and it's HOT on the Tv/HDMI end but cold on the GPU/Displayport end.

Am I asking too much of the TV? It clearly states 4K/144hz on all 3 hdmi ports.

I figured it out. So far so good after capping my FPS to match my refresh rate at 144. Haven't had any issues. I mean the cable still gets warm but not as hot as it was getting.
