MW-Warzone 2.0 will not Run unless on Win10 v.1909.

( it says win8 because I tried running the steam client in compatibility mode.
That didn't work. )

Trying to run a free to play game, from steam, called :
MW-Warzone 2.0.

I'm on win10 home v.1903. b. 18362.789
I have this build for performance and limited telemetry reasons.

This game is saying I need at least the version in the error notification.
Is there a way around this?

Is updating the only way to run this game?
If so, is it possible to upgrade to 1909 only and not 22H2 etc?

If I let updates run, it probably will install latest version of win10 which I don't want.
[ I tried so far : Changing registry values , tried compatibility mode ] ..

and run the compatibility tool provided.

After that for more you would need to discuss this in an appropriate forum.

It may be that the constraints you have chosen to impose on yourself, or perhaps certain tweaks, are limiting you.

I have this build for performance and limited telemetry reasons.

Concerns about telemetry are grossly overdone... if concerned about that you would not be using any cloud services or indeed the internet.

Of course- just get a 1909 iso file- freely downloadable- see appropriate tutorial in the tutorial section.

I see no disadvantage in using 22H2 compared to 1903,1909... but I don't play big games.

It is possible to update ONLY to 1909. But... that's not necessary.
You can also update to 22H2 with no performance loss, and still block telemetry.

There's a free program called Winaero Tweaker, that can disable telemetry with... one click.
It can also do a lot of other cool things.

Even Windows 10 version 1909 is long past it's end of support.
Windows 10 22H2 runs just as fast as any other version.
