Remove any peripherals except for mouse ,keyboard and monitor.
    Run ---chkdsk ---.
Then run ---windows memory diagnostic tool ---
Make sure any overclocking is set back to default.
    Have you gone through ---settings>update & security>troubleshoot ---
It appears to be a hardware problem and the most common cause is the gpu.Does the card look to be normal, that is no discolouration or distortion of the capacitors ?

    Done chkdsk no issues,
    Ram passed no errors,
Troubleshooting said no recommended troubleshooters right now.
    No overclock.

Capacitors that I can see look fine. I am going to bring my rx6600 into where I bought it they said they would test it for free.
I will install my old gpu (gtx780) and keep you updated if I still have any freezes.

    Thanks.

No issues so far with my old gpu (gtx 780) I have brought my new gpu (rx6600) to the store for them to test and I will have results by friday dec 16.

I noticed my game does not stutter or hitch like it did with my rx6600, im on the same graphics setting and resolution although the fps is lower obviously. Very weird to me.

I got my card back from the store testing and they didn't find any hardware issues and they think it's a driver issue. Im going to try some older drivers and see if that stop the freezing.

    Any other ideas?

Just a thought... With everything going on in your system, it could be that the video card is underpowered. That GPU requires a minimum of a 500 Watt PSU. That only leaves you 150 Watts for your processor and motherboard and all the other goodies in your system, you may be going above the 650 Watts your PSU is rated for which will cause all kinds of weirdness.

I don't know if you have the capability of borrowing a more powerful PSU and testing it, but it might be worth a try. These days, 650 Watts is cutting it close with some of the newer graphics cards.

650w is more then enough for my system:

    intel i5 10600k TDP -125 watts
AMD rx6600 TDP - 132 watts AMD recommends minimum 450 watt psu

that is 257 watts total which leaves 393 watts for the motherboard, ram and ssd which is overkill.
I have since put my new rm750 in my system and I still have the issue, so I know its not the psu.

I know that it is my gpu, most likely with drivers I need to know how to diagnose this further and fix it please.

I installed older drivers and had no crashes but then widows went and installed new drivers on its own how do I stop windows from auto updating just my video card drivers?

If you want, you can actually run a stress test on your CPU and GPU. Download "HeavyLoad" and run tests where your CPU is stressed to constant 100%, and see how your computer behaves throughout. Just let the test run and notice if there are any freezes, unstable temperature spikes, etc. Same test with GPU. If any of them cause you problems, then you have one more evidence on your side as to why this is happening. Mind you, during these tests, keep a close eye to everything. Otherwise, your computer may actually reach the thermal limit this time and behave the exact same way as when you are gaming (for my I7-4790k, it's 93 degrees before my computer force shuts itself down. Complete freeze, no warning, requires hard reset). As for your GPU drivers, as you and others have mentioned, it is worthwhile to try and roll back to previous versions.

I have done aida64 cpu, fpu, cache, system memory and gpu stability test all at once for 4 hours no issues and temps never above 81c.
also ran unigine superposition for 4 hours along with the aida64 cpu, fpu, cache, and system memory stability test no issues and all temps good. No throttling.

I had an older driver installed but windows installed a newer one which game me the crash, how do I stop windows from doing this just for me video card. I still want the other update.
