    Unable to Install SimCity Societies on Windows 10

    I'm trying to install SimCity Societies on my PC, an old game which I've had stored away for several years and thought I would see if I could install it on my Windows 10 PC, but when I try to install the game it says "Installing Net 2.0, this may take several minutes", and after an hour its still no further forward, I can't imagine that its normal for it to take anywhere near this long. I look in Task Manager and it appears to be working as its top of the list when I click the CPU tab, so is it ever likely to do anything or will this message just stay there forever. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    @BJC1992 -

    Is that a true 32 bit game?

    That I'm not sure on, I can't see anything to say that it is, its not mentioned on the bit that lists the system requirements.

    Ok great I'll give that a look, but at the moment I can't even get to the game installation stage, this box installing the net framework is the first thing that appears when I click to install the game.

    OK great thats sorted, whilst looking through the articles I eventually found out all I had to do was go to the Control Panel, go to "Turn Windows Features On or Off" and install the net 2.0 framework.

    There is only thing that seems odd. After installing the game, which includes Simcity Societies and Simcity Destinations (as its the Deluxe Pack), I can run Destinations on its own just fine, if I load Societies and tick the box that will run it with Destinations it loads just fine, but if I load just Societies on it's own it then starts to load, the screen goes blank for a second like it normally would, and then it just returns to the desktop. Not a big issue but I would like to know why it does it.
