    vc_runtime annoyance

Can anyone tell me how I can rid my PC of this pop up. Clicking cancel usually means the games will load just fine but not all.
This is Halo but it happens on most other games it seems. I have Googled without success so hopefully someone here can help.

It might have something to do with Steam being installed on another SSD to my OS but I really do not know how to resolve it. My games have always been installed on a separate HD so this is quite a new occurrence

Unfortunately I do not have much installed at the moment but I can remember a couple of demos recently just would not launch because of this issue, one was Chorus if memory serves.

    See if this thread helps....

Before you can install the latest C++ redistributables, one of the current redistributables installed needs to be updated. This requires the original source installer, which was formally at the missing path the installer is referencing above. To correct this, grab the 2017 C++ from here https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=746572. Save it where you want. Run the Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 you were trying to install earlier and when you get the popup, point it the 2017 file you just downloaded.

Unfortunately the link within the thread you provided did not help as you can see from the screenshot when I point it to the 2017 file in the download folder it finds nothing. I am sure I am missing something but what I have no idea.
I am definitely missing a file but for the life of me I cannot seem to install it.

Think I might have sorted it.
I uninstalled all the versions I had then reinstalled and fired up Halo and the box did not appear. Thanks for your help both of you.
